PubMan Days 2010

We would like to invite our PubMan users as well as all interested people to the upcoming PubMan Days at Harnak Haus in Berlin on the 19th and 20th of May.

Interested? Then you might want to take a look at the agenda here.

The first day of the event will be MPG internal. In this part of the convention we would like to make the participants familiar with the idea of being a PubMan community. After some short statements about current requirements or change requests from various MPIs, we will try to provide an insight into the release procedure within PubMan. The aim is to bring some transparency into the complex process of planning and prioritization.

On the second day we are pleased to also welcome speakers and participants from outside the MPG. The program will include reports about experiences in using PubMan from MPG-external organizations (e.g. the ZB MED). Furthermore there will be a live demonstration of PubMan in its current state of development. Finally, an open session will give all attendants the opportunity to share their experiences.

Simultaneously there will be a developer workshop that is going to take place at the MPI for the History of Science in the afternoon of the 20th of May. The agenda can be found here.

For organizational reasons, it is necessary to register for participation.

If you would like to take part in the PubMan Days, please send an email to Katrin Gashi (gashi@mpdl.mpg.de) by the 10th of Mai the latest.
